This example was however utilized on the front of a field-gray overseas cap with the excess wool being folded under and the piece then being sewn onto the cap. You can see a slight tear between the wings and body at the left side where the piece would have creased on the front of the cap when worn. A fine example of a rare eagle that saw use.
